Dr. Suha Al Shuaibat is a highly accomplished professional in the field of inclusion, research, diagnosis, raising awareness, and therapy, with over 17 years of experience In speech and language pathology. She has worked with multinational organizations and stakeholders, with a strong understanding of people with determination and the future of services and research in the field of special needs. Suha's expertise includes leadership, writing and presentation, problem-solving, communication and presentation, diagnosis of different disabilities, research, leading awareness programs, translating and publishing documents, and being the Lead Author of Dubai Autism Guidelines.

Until recently, Dr. Suha worked as an Adjunct Faculty at the Mohammad Bin Rashed University of Medicine and Health Science (MBRU) and as the Lead Speech and Language Pathologist/Director of Blue Cafe at Aljalila Children’s Specialty Hospital. In these roles, she diagnoses different kinds of difficulties using various assessment tools, provides training for therapists and families, leads internship programs, and determines specific treatment plans while evaluating long-term and short-term goals and procedures. She also communicates with other healthcare disciplines and has been the lead author of several autism-related documents.

In the past, Suha has worked as the Head of the Speech Pathology Department at several institutions, including Camali Mental Health Clinic, Child Learning and Enrichment Medical Centre, and Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care. She has assessed different kinds of speech and language disorders using different assessment tools, provided training and observation programs, and developed policies and procedures on best practices in the field. 

Education:

Dr. Suha is a PhD candidate in special education and inclusion from the British University in Dubai and holds a master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from the University of Jordan. She has also completed several professional development training programs, conferences, and CME-accredited programs related to her field of work.
