The kidneys play a critical role in our body by filtering and cleaning the blood, removing waste and toxic substances from the body. This also helps control blood pressure; regulate vital electrolytes, such as sodium and potassium; and secrete hormones to maintain appropriate blood counts and support bone growth and health.
